This dataset consists of the inflation rate for Nepal from the year 1965 till 2012. Inflation as measured by the consumer price index reflects the annual percentage change in the cost to the average consumer of acquiring a basket of goods and services that may be fixed or changed at specified intervals, such as yearly.
In last 10 years, on an average, Aid covers 30.76% of total annual budget of Nepal. And OBudget wants to find the impact of aid on national development by showing the correlation between aid,inflation rate, literacy rate and PPP(Purchasing power parity).
This dataset was used in Open Data Day Hackathon to create an app. The dataset includes prices of petrol, disel and kerosene in Nepal and in India since 2004 to 2014. The price of LP gas in Nepal during that period is also included in this dataset.The prices of petroleum products in India which were in Indian Rupees have been converted to Nepalese rupees using the exchange rate. The dataset has been created with data from the following sources:
